V.B. Narania & Co.

V.B. Narania & Co. has been right here near the Thangadh railway station for a long time now. You can hear the whistles and the rumbling tracks all through the day, but after a few years, you stop noticing it. The office isn't much to look at, just a practical space where we get things done. We spend a lot of time moving stuff around and making sure everything is where it should be. Thangadh is a busy place for work like this, and being so close to the station makes it easy for people to find us. The dust from the road gets inside sometimes, so we are always sweeping. My family started this, and now we are the ones keeping it going. It’s not a fancy setup with air conditioning or anything, just some ceiling fans and a lot of hard work. We usually have tea brought in around eleven in the morning. That’s our little break. Most of our neighbors are doing the same kind of stuff, so we all know each other. It’s a bit cramped in the storage area, but we manage. If the weather is nice, we leave the front doors wide open. Sometimes people just walk in asking for directions because we are right on the main path. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing every day. It’s a quiet life in a loud location, but it works for us.
