Yogasmi Foundation

We are based in Shahapur, specifically in the Brahamin Ali neighborhood. Our office is Room Number 2 inside Mangal Dham, which is part of the Athavale Wada. Yogasmi Foundation is the name of our group. It’s a quiet place compared to the rush of Mumbai or even Thane. We like it that way. The building is an older style, and it has a very local, comfortable feel to it. We aren't a big organization with lots of money to spend on fancy furniture. We have a couple of desks, some plastic chairs, and a cupboard for our files. We mostly work with the folks around this area. It feels more like a community center than a formal office. There isn’t a receptionist, so if you come by, you just knock on the door. We spend our days organizing local programs and trying to make sure things run smoothly. It’s not always perfectly organized, and sometimes we have to search through piles of paper to find what we need. But we get it done. The view from the window is mostly trees and other old houses, which is a nice change of pace. We don't have a polished corporate image or any big speeches. We just live here, work here, and try to do something useful for the people in Shahapur without making a big deal out of it.
