Woodland Store

Our store is located right underneath Indravati Hall on Gokhale Road. We are in shops 8 and 9 of the Hemendra Complex. Most people around Naupada know the building because of the big hall above us. We have been selling shoes and boots here for a while now. It’s mostly the rugged kind of footwear that lasts a long time. The store gets pretty busy on the weekends when families are out walking around the neighborhood. I spend a lot of my time just moving boxes around in the back room because we never seem to have quite enough space for all the stock we keep. The floor gets dusty really fast with everyone coming in and out from the street so we are always sweeping up. We have been here in Thane for a bit and we like the area. It is not a huge fancy store but we carry a lot of different sizes. Sometimes the light in the back storage area flickers and I keep meaning to get it fixed but I never seem to find the time. We don't have a big office or anything, just a small desk behind the counter where we handle the bills and paperwork. It is a very straightforward business. We show you what we have, you try them on, and if they fit, that is that. We know most of the other shop owners around here and it feels good to be part of the local market. Just a regular store doing regular work every day.
