Wd Wedesign Private Limited is located out in Badlapur, in the Shirgaon area. Our space is in the Lavender building, which is part of building number five in the Jeevan Lifestyle complex. We’re up on the sixth floor in flat 601. Badlapur has a different feel compared to the main city; it’s a bit quieter but it’s definitely getting busier these days. Being in a residential complex makes the workday feel a bit more relaxed. We do all our design work here, usually surrounded by coffee mugs and sketches. The commute can be a bit of a pain if you're coming from further down the line, but once you're here, it’s a pretty good spot. We chose this place because it wasn't right in the middle of the Mumbai chaos. You can actually hear the birds sometimes instead of just horns honking. The office is basically just a few rooms with big monitors and some comfortable chairs. We aren't big on formal meetings or wearing suits. Most days it’s just us figuring out layouts and talking through ideas. We usually end up staying late when a deadline is coming up, watching the lights come on in the other buildings. It’s a honest kind of work life. We’ve made this flat into a proper little studio over the last few years. It’s not a fancy corporate headquarters, but it’s where all the work happens for us and the clients we help.
