Vora Clinic

Vora Clinic is tucked away in Shop No 1/2 of the Janki Niwas building. We are located right behind the Dagdi School, so we hear the school bell ringing several times a day and the sound of children playing during their break. It’s also quite close to the Amrapali Hotel and right across from Gadkari Rangayatan, which is a big landmark in this area. Our clinic is basically two shops that have been joined together. One side is for waiting and the other is where we see the patients. The entrance is right on the ground floor of the housing society, so it is very easy for the older residents to walk in. We have a small television in the waiting area, but it is usually turned off or set to a news channel with the volume low. There is a big desk where we keep all the patient files in alphabetical order, though some of the folders are getting a bit frayed. The neighborhood is quite lively, especially in the evenings when people are heading to the theater or the hotel. We have a few benches outside the shop for when the inside gets too full. The lighting inside is a bit yellow, which gives the place a warm, lived-in feel. It’s been our home for a long time, and we know most of the people who walk past our door by their first names.
