Vijay Ceramics Thane

Our place is called Vijay Ceramics Thane and we are located at Plot No. B 60/1 on Road No. 33 in Dhyaneshwar Nagar. This sits right in the middle of Wagle Estate. If you know the Thane area, you know Wagle Estate is where all the heavy lifting and industrial work happens. It is a landscape of warehouses and small factories. Our particular plot is usually full of boxes containing tiles and various ceramic items. There is a very specific dry, earthy smell that stays inside a ceramics warehouse. We spend a lot of our time unloading trucks that arrive from the factories or the ports. The roads around here stay congested with big lorries and tempos. Sometimes it is a real struggle just to find a spot for a visitor to park. Inside, we have rows of different tile designs stacked high. We spend the day helping people find what they need for their home projects. It involves a lot of walking back and forth on the hard floors. Our team is small and mostly made up of people from around the Thane neighborhood. We do not have a fancy showroom with bright lights, it is more of a gritty, working warehouse. We keep track of our stock on old-fashioned ledgers and some basic computer programs. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, but we keep the fans going. People come to us because we have been on Road 33 for a long time.
