Being in Kalyan means we are a bit away from the main hustle of Mumbai, which actually suits us just fine. It’s a bit more relaxed here, even though the commute into the city can be a real grind when we have meetings. Our workspace is pretty simple since it’s set up in a residential area. It feels more like a home than a sterile office, which makes the long hours a bit easier to handle. There are usually a few of us sitting around the main table with laptops and heaps of papers. Vector Projects (India) has been around for a bit, and we’ve mostly grown by just doing the work and letting people talk. We don't have a big sign outside or a fancy lobby. If you walked past, you might just think it’s another house on the street. We like it that way because it keeps things low-key. The neighbors are used to us by now, and we try not to make too much noise. During the monsoon, the rain hits the roof so hard we can barely hear each other talk, but we just keep going. It’s a very local, hands-on way of running things, and it keeps us grounded in the community here. We just take it one day at a time.
