We operate out of Khan Estate in Vasai East. It is more of a storage space and a small work area than a big office. We deal with solar panels and the batteries that go with them. A lot of our time is spent out at sites rather than sitting in the office. We go to people's roofs to set things up. It’s hot work, being under the sun all day, but that’s where the solar panels need to be. We started this because we saw how many power cuts happen around here. Now we spend our days connecting wires and making sure the panels are facing the right way to catch the light. The office is usually full of boxes, wires, and metal frames. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes. We are just a small crew of people who know a bit about electricity and how to mount heavy things on rooftops. We don't use big words to explain how things work. If the sun is out, the battery charges. That’s the basic idea we tell everyone. Sometimes we have to travel a bit far into the industrial areas or nearby villages to do a job. It’s good to see more people using the sun for power instead of just relying on the grid. We just keep doing our work, one roof at a time, and hope the rain doesn't stay too long.
