Our small office is up on the third floor, in Room 305, inside the Shree Ganesh Krupa Apartment. It’s located in Azade Pada, over in Dombivali East. If you know the area, it's quite close to the main market road where all the shops are. Finding a parking spot for a scooter can be a real headache sometimes, but the building itself is easy to spot once you get close. We’ve been working out of this room for a while now. The elevator works most of the time, though sometimes we just take the stairs to save time. It’s good exercise for us. Inside, it’s just a regular office setup. We have a few desks, some old files piled up, and a water cooler that makes a loud clicking noise. We spend our days helping local people with their savings and small loans. There are four of us working here. We usually bring our own lunch from home and eat together in the small corner we use as a kitchen. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We mostly talk about the local news or the train schedules which are always a mess. Dombivali is always crowded and noisy, so our office feels like a quiet escape from all that. We keep our records in big paper ledgers and also on the computer. It’s a lot of typing and checking numbers over and over. Sometimes we stay late when the month ends. We don’t have fancy brochures. We just talk to folks.
