Down here in Shanti Nagar, near the Mafatlal Colony in Thane, things stay pretty busy most of the time. Our office is at TMC 1664/E, which isn't the easiest place to find if you aren't from around here. It’s a regular building and we have been here for a good amount of time now. Dealing with imports and exports means we spend a lot of time on the phone or checking lists on the computer screen. There are usually boxes stacked in the corner waiting to be moved out. The weather in Thane gets really humid, so the fan is always running in the background. We aren't a huge team, just a few of us making sure everything is where it should be. Sometimes there are delays at the docks or some paperwork gets stuck, and we have to spend the whole afternoon sorting it out. It’s just how the business goes. We drink a lot of chai and talk about the local news while we work. The neighborhood is okay, a bit noisy with the traffic from the main road, but we are used to it by now. We don't have any flashy signs or anything like that. People find us because they need things moved or brought in, and we just get to it. It’s practical work, nothing more. We close up when the work is done for the day and head home like everyone else.
