Thane Gramin Jan Vikas Nidhi Limited is located in Shop No 8 at the Shree Krupa Complex. We are right on Ambika Mata Road in the Kamalanagar area of Shahapur. It’s a busy little spot. There are other shops around us, so there’s always people walking by. We’ve been here for a while, helping the local gramin or rural folks with their money. We handle small deposits and help people save up for things they need. It’s not a complicated business. We just keep track of the cash and make sure the paperwork is done right. The office is small, just enough room for a couple of desks and some chairs for visitors. We don't wear fancy uniforms. We just dress like everyone else in Shahapur. Most of our members come in because they live just down the street. We don't do any big advertising. Word of mouth is how we get most of our work. People tell their friends that we’re honest and we don't make things difficult. We try to be helpful when someone has a question about their account. It’s just a community thing, really. We open up in the morning, sweep the floor, and get to work. That’s how it’s been since we started. It’s a good way to live, being part of the local life here in this corner of Maharashtra.
