Govardhan Farm

Govardhan Farm is located in the village of Galtare, which is under the Hamrapur post office in the Wada taluka. It’s quite a journey to get out here if you are coming from the bigger cities, but that’s the whole point of having a farm. The land around Wada is green and a bit rugged. We spend our days looking at the trees and the crops rather than computer screens for the most part. It’s a very rural way of living and working. There aren't many shops or big buildings nearby, just other plots of land and a few houses belonging to the local villagers. At Govardhan Farm, we work with what the earth gives us. Sometimes the monsoon is heavy and turns everything into a swamp, and other times we are praying for a bit of rain. It is a slow life, but it keeps you busy in a different way. You have to wake up early before the sun gets too hot to get the real work done. The address is simple because the place is simple. We don't have fancy titles or corporate meetings. We just check the plants, fix the fences, and make sure the animals are doing okay if we have them. It is honest work that leaves you tired at the end of the day. Galtare is a quiet spot where you can actually hear the birds. It’s a good place to be.
