Our shop, Surendra Forgings Pvt. Ltd., is located at Plot No. A-173 on Road No. 10 Q in the Wagle Industrial Estate. We are pretty close to the ESIC Hospital, which is a landmark most people use to find us. Wagle Estate is a huge place, and it can be easy to get lost, but we’ve been in this specific spot for a long time. The building is old but sturdy. Inside, it’s mostly open space for the forging presses and the storage racks. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear a nice suit. We usually have grease on our clothes by ten in the morning. That’s just the job. We have a routine here that hasn’t changed much over the years. We start the day by checking the machines and getting the heat up. There’s always a bit of a backlog, so we stay busy. We don't have a receptionist; usually, whoever is closest to the door helps whoever walks in. It’s a very straightforward environment. We focus on the metal and the specs provided to us. The neighborhood is full of other workshops, so there’s a constant hum of activity all around us on Road 10 Q. We just fit into the landscape like everything else here. We keep it simple and just do the work that is expected of us each day.
