Passion Plywood

You can find us at Shop No. 14 in Swastika Plaza. We are on Pokharan Road No. 02, not too far from the Voltas building in Subhash Nagar. Passion Plywood is a place where you’ll always find sawdust on the floor. We deal with heavy sheets of wood every single day. It’s a lot of heavy lifting, so we all stay pretty fit. The shop is filled with the smell of different types of wood, which is something you get used to after a week or two. We spend our time helping people pick out the right thickness or type of boards for their projects. Sometimes the delivery truck gets stuck in the traffic on Pokharan Road, and we have to wait around on the curb for it to arrive. The plaza is usually busy with people going to the other shops, so there is a lot of noise. We have a small desk where we write down the orders by hand. We don't use many gadgets here, just a tape measure and a pencil tucked behind the ear. It’s an honest way to make a living. We know the regulars who come in from Subhash Nagar and the contractors who need supplies for their jobs. We close up once the sun goes down and the plaza starts to empty out. It is hard work, but we like seeing the piles of wood move out to become something useful for someone's home.
