Sri Ganesh Clinic

Living and working in Jogeshwari West is always an experience. It’s Mumbai, so it’s never quiet. Sri Ganesh Clinic is our small space in this part of the city. We’ve been here for a long time, watching the buildings change around us. The clinic itself hasn't changed much though. We still have the same wooden desk and the old filing cabinet. It’s a simple place for people to come when they aren't feeling well. Being in Mumbai, we see everyone from everywhere. The trains are close by, so you can always hear them in the distance. Some days it’s so humid the papers on the desk curl up. We just keep the windows open or turn the fan on. Most of our patients come in after work because that’s when they have time. We stay open late quite often. It’s not a polished medical center like the ones in the posh areas. It’s just a local clinic for local people. We handle the usual stuff like stomach bugs or skin rashes. Sometimes the monsoon rains make it hard for people to reach us, but we stay open anyway. I’ve known some of the families who come here for generations now. It’s a tight-knit community despite how big Mumbai is. We just do our daily routine and hope we help a few people feel better. That’s the reality of it. We are just a small part of Jogeshwari West and we try to do our job well every day.
