Sindhunagar Seva Sadan Foundation

We are over here at New Era High School in Ulhasnagar. It's an old building, you know how these schools are with the big hallways and the sound of kids running around during the breaks. We have our little corner here in Thane. It gets pretty loud in the afternoons when the school lets out, but that is just part of being here. We spend most of our days sitting at these wooden desks that have been around forever. Sometimes the fans make a bit of a clicking noise, but we just get used to it. Ulhasnagar is a busy place, always something happening on the streets outside. People are always coming and going through the main gates of the school. We don't have fancy office furniture or anything like that. Just some chairs and a lot of papers piled up on the side. It feels right being in a school though. There is a specific smell of old paper and chalk that stays in the air. We keep the windows open mostly to let the breeze in, even if it brings a bit of dust from the road. It’s a simple setup we have at the foundation. We don’t really do much for decoration, just a few calendars on the walls and maybe a tea kettle in the corner for when the afternoons get long. Being in this part of Thane means we see all sorts of people walking by. It's just a regular daily routine for us here.
