Simran Pest Control

Our place is at No. D/5 702 in the Ritu Estate. It’s right there on Hiranandani Lane in Patllipada, off G. B. Road. Being in a big estate like this means there is always something going on. Pest control isn’t exactly a glamorous job, but it’s what Simran Pest Control does. We carry around a lot of sprayers and chemicals, so the back of the van always has a certain smell to it. Most of our work is in the apartments around here, dealing with the usual suspects like ants or cockroaches. It’s a lot of crawling into dark corners and checking under sinks. We wear our uniforms and try to be quick about it so we don't get in people's way too much. The traffic on G. B. Road can be a real headache, so we try to schedule our jobs so we aren't sitting in jams all day. The office is mostly just a place to store the gear and take messages. We’ve got a logbook where we write everything down. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so it’s just us doing the work. We don't make big promises, we just come in, do the spray, and head to the next house. People in Ritu Estate know us by sight now. It’s a living, and it keeps us busy from morning until late. It is not fun work, but someone has to do it.
