Shweni Harghar Shiksha Foundation

Our office for Shweni Harghar Shiksha Foundation is in the Amarante CHS building, specifically unit 1102 in Building Number 8. We are located on Plot 10 in Sector 25. It’s a bit of a hike up to the 11th floor, but the lift usually works. We moved here because we needed a dedicated space to organize our educational work. It’s mostly just desks and stacks of books and papers everywhere. We aren't the type to have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll probably just see us working at our computers or sorting through supplies. Living and working in a big housing society like this means we’re always around people. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most people hear about us through the grapevine or by seeing our name on the directory downstairs. We try to keep things grounded. There’s no big strategy, just a daily list of things that need to be finished. We spend a lot of time on the phone or sending emails to coordinate with others. Sector 25 is still developing in some ways, so it feels like a good place to be growing. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just focus on the task of getting education into more homes. It’s a slow process, but we’re patient. The space is small, but it’s enough for the few of us who are here every day. We usually have a radio playing low while we sort through piles.
