Shree Rudraksha

You can find Shree Rudraksha over at Ruthu Estate, which is right on Ghodbunder Road in Thane West. We are located in the Patilipada area, not far from the Hiranandani Estate. It’s a very crowded part of the city, and the road outside is almost never quiet. You can hear the constant hum of engines and the occasional honking of horns. Our shop is quite small, so we have to use every inch of space we have. The shelves go all the way up to the ceiling. I often have to use a small stepladder to reach things on the top rows. It’s a bit of a workout every day. Most of our visitors are people living in the high-rise buildings nearby. They drop in while they are out for a walk or coming back from the market. I’ve lived in Thane for most of my life, so I’m used to the pace here. Inside the shop, it stays relatively cool despite the humidity outside. We have a small fan that blows air toward the counter. I keep a bottle of water and a tiffin box under the desk for my lunch. It’s not a glamorous job, but I enjoy talking to the people who come in. They tell me about their families and their work. We don't have any marketing people or a big team. It’s just us here at Ruthu Estate, doing what we do every day without much fuss. The lights flicker sometimes when it storms but we just keep the doors open and wait it out.
