Sharvind Foundation

You’ll find Sharvind Foundation over in Vasai, specifically at Shree Ganesh Depot in Anand Nagar. We are up on the fourth floor, room 402. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which happens sometimes. The area around Ashram is usually pretty active. We’ve been here in Thane for a bit now. Our office is a bit crowded with papers and old files, but we know where everything is. We don't bother with fancy furniture or big signs. It’s just a place to get things done. We spend most of our time dealing with community issues and seeing how we can help the folks around Anand Nagar and the rest of Vasai. It’s a lot of talking to people and trying to figure out solutions for local problems. Sometimes we have volunteers coming in and out, so it gets a bit hectic. We don't have a big staff, just a few people who care about the neighborhood. We drink a lot of tea while we work. The view from the fourth floor isn't much, just the rooftops of the other buildings, but we like it here. We aren't trying to be a huge organization. We just want to stay in our corner of Vira and do what we can. It’s simple work, nothing glamorous. We just keep at it day by day. Every now and then we have to stay late to finish up our records for the month.
