Shanti Suri Association

Our spot is Shop No. 08 in the Devi Darshan Building. It is on Edalji Road, right near Tembi Naka in Thane West. Shanti Suri Association has been here for a bit. It is a small shop, not one of those big malls. Being on the ground floor is good because people can just walk in from the street. The area is always crowded with traffic and people going to the markets nearby. We keep the door open mostly to let some air in. Inside, it is mostly just cupboards filled with things we need for the association. We have a couple of desks and a bench for people to sit on while they wait. It is a bit cramped, especially when we have a lot of paperwork to sort through. The building is a bit old, so you can see some wear and tear here and there. We do not mind it much. It is a practical space for what we do. Edalji Road is a busy place, so there is always something happening outside the window. We spend a lot of time talking to the locals who pass by. It is not a corporate environment at all. It is just a shop where we handle our affairs and try to stay on top of things. It is simple and it works for us. Usually, we close up late because there is always one last thing to do.
