Shantai Clinic

This Shantai Clinic is located over at 27 Temghar Road, right by Pipeline Naka. It’s a bit of a hectic spot in Bhiwandi because of all the trucks and the pipeline work. We are actually quite close to Vaishnavi Hospital, so people sometimes use that as a way to find us if they get turned around. The clinic is on the ground floor, which is nice because nobody has to climb stairs when they aren't feeling well. We have a lot of patients coming in from the nearby chawls and the newer apartment buildings too. The floor is that old grey tile that never really looks perfectly clean no matter how much we mop it, but we try our best. It stays pretty busy here from morning until late evening. Since we are near the Naka, there’s always a bit of dust in the air, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the desks and the plastic chairs. It’s not a quiet place, you can always hear the traffic and the horns outside. We have a small desk where we take names and a little curtained-off area for examinations. It’s just a normal neighborhood clinic. Nothing special to look at, but we’ve been here for years and know most of the people who walk through that door. Sometimes we run out of chairs and people have to stand outside under the awning, especially when the weather is rainy and everyone is huddled together.
