Our office is on the fourth floor of Unique Tower in Goregaon West. It is right next to the Kamat Club, so it is easy to find if you are in the neighborhood. We work with minerals. It is more of an office job than a field job for most of us here in this room. We spend our time on computers and phones, talking to people at the mines or the buyers who need the materials. It is a bit of a small office, and we have papers and folders stacked up on most of the desks. Goregaon is always crowded, so getting to work in the morning can be a bit of a trek for everyone. We don't have any fancy decorations or a big lobby with a receptionist. It is just where we come to do our business. We have been at this for a while now. Some days are slow and others are completely frantic when a big shipment is moving from the site. We just try to keep track of everything and make sure the paperwork is correct before things get sent out. It is not a glamorous life, but it is what we do to get by. We know the other folks in the building, and we usually grab lunch at the small food stalls nearby. It is a regular office routine. We don't use big corporate talk or mission statements; we just focus on the minerals and the logistics of moving them from one place to another without too much trouble.
