We are based in Vashi at the Punit Chambers, right in Sector 18. Being near Mafco means it is always loud and crowded around our shop. Shop number 17 is where we keep all the vegetables and fruits. We get up way before the sun comes up to get the fresh stock in. Navi Mumbai is a big place, but this market area feels like its own little world. There are crates everywhere and the trucks are always blocking the road. It can be frustrating trying to get work done when it’s so chaotic outside. We don't have any polished sales pitches. We just show what we have on the shelves. Sometimes the tomatoes are good, sometimes the onions are a bit small. That’s how nature works. We spend our day weighing things and talking to the regular buyers. Our office is just a small desk at the back of the shop covered in receipts and old tea cups. It’s dusty and there’s never enough space for everything. We’ve been in this spot for a long time now. People know Satish as the guy who stays late to finish the accounts. We don't bother with fancy branding or anything high-tech. We just sell what people need for their kitchens every day. It’s basic work, but it’s what we know how to do to keep the lights on.
