Roshan Zindagi Foundation

Our foundation is over in Mira Road East, which is part of the Thane district. We are in Nilkamal Apartment, flat B-03, in the Kashigaon area. If you are looking for us, we are right near the Gaodevi Mandir. It is a nice landmark that everyone knows. The apartment is on the ground floor, which makes it easy for people to drop in and see us. It’s a pretty typical residential area. You hear the bells from the temple and the sounds of the neighborhood all day long. We work out of this small flat for the Roshan Zindagi Foundation, trying to do what we can for the people around here. The name is about bringing light to life, and we try to do that in very practical ways. We might be helping someone with their fees or finding clothes for a family in Thane-401107. It isn't a big, polished operation. We have some old desks and plenty of paperwork. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. We know most of the families in the building here in Maharashtra. It’s a friendly place to be. We don't have a lot of rules or a strict schedule. We just open up in the morning and see who needs help that day. It’s just us doing our bit. We are just neighbors helping neighbors. That is how we’ve always operated. We just want things to be a bit better for everyone.
