We are located in Kopar Khairne, over in Sector 8. Our office is actually in a residential block, Flat 203 in Plot 42. It’s a bit of a mix here, with families living next door to small businesses like ours. Retreat Agro Impex Llp is run by Mohanan Narayanan Panick and Aparna Mohan. We aren't some big faceless entity. It’s just us working out of this flat to manage the import and export of agri products. Navi Mumbai is a good place to be for this kind of work because we are close to the ports and the big markets. The flat isn't huge, but it’s enough for what we need. We spend a lot of time on our laptops and on the phone, trying to make sure everything is where it should be. Sometimes the hallway is quiet, and other times you can hear the kids playing outside. It’s a real-world environment. We don't use a lot of corporate talk because it doesn't fit who we are. We’re just trying to run a decent business and keep our heads above water in a competitive field. We handle a lot of different agricultural items, and each one has its own set of rules and problems to solve. It keeps things interesting for us. We don't have a big staff, so we end up doing everything ourselves, from the cleaning to the high-level planning. It’s just honest work from a small office in a busy neighborhood. Some days the paperwork is a real headache.
