Regency Spices

Regency Spices is located at Plot No. A/64 in the Kopar Khairane area. Being in the MIDC section means we are surrounded by a lot of other industrial sheds and warehouses. It’s not a fancy neighborhood, but it’s where the work gets done. Every morning when we open up, the smell of different spices hits you right at the door. Some days it’s heavy on the turmeric, and other days you can really smell the cloves. We spend most of our time unloading bags and making sure everything is stored properly so it stays dry. The humid air around here can be a problem, so we have to stay on top of things. The staff here are mostly local people who have been with us for years. We eat lunch together in the small back room and talk about the traffic on the way in. It’s a lot of manual labor, moving heavy sacks and weighing out orders for the local markets. We don't do much advertising because most people find us through word of mouth. The floor is concrete and the lights are those long tubes that flicker sometimes. It’s just a regular workplace where we try to get the orders right and keep things moving. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just us, some spices, and a lot of hard work every single day.
