R. T. Shetye & Co.

You can find R. T. Shetye & Co. over at the Devendra Industrial Estate. We are in Unit 217, which is part of Lokmanya Nagar No.2. Working in an industrial estate has its own kind of vibe. There is always the sound of machinery somewhere in the distance and the smell of oil or metal in the air. We’ve been in this particular unit for a long time. It’s not a fancy office by any means, but it works for what we do. We have our machinery set up on one side and a small area for the desk and files on the other. Most of the day is spent handling requests or working on whatever job is currently on the floor. It can get a bit hot in the summer months, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy. The other business owners in the estate are good people; we all kind of know each other and say hello in the mornings. Sometimes we have to move stuff around to make room for new materials, so the layout changes a bit now and then. It’s a practical space meant for getting work done. We don’t really have visitors unless it’s a delivery or someone coming to pick up a completed order. It’s a simple operation, run by people who have been doing this long enough to know the quirks of the machines and the paperwork.
