Our small office is located in Room Number 05 at Bharat Bhavan. We are right across from the Dutt Mandir in Joshi Baug. If you are familiar with Kalyan West, you know how busy this area can get, especially during festival times when the temple is crowded. The building we are in is quite old and has a lot of history. It does not have an elevator, so we get plenty of exercise walking up and down the stairs every day. Inside the room, things are pretty basic. We have a couple of wooden desks and some shelves piled high with documents. It is a bit of a tight squeeze when more than three people are in there at once. We usually have a radio playing quietly in the background or just the sound of the traffic from outside. Someone usually brings in some homemade snacks to share in the late afternoon. We do not have a formal lobby or any big signs. Just our name on the door and a bell that sometimes works. We have known the other tenants in Bharat Bhavan for years, so it feels very comfortable. Kalyan is a place where you have to be tough and practical. We do not have time for fancy corporate talk or complicated rules. We just show up, do what needs doing, and then head home. It is a simple life and we like the neighborhood a lot.
