We are located in Thane district, specifically in the Rambaug 2 area. Our place is called Shri Gurudev. It’s a local spot and we’ve been here long enough that we know most of the people on our street. Thane is a big place, but Rambaug feels a bit more like a neighborhood. Our office is simple. We have a few desks, some filing cabinets that have seen better days, and a couple of chairs for whoever stops by. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll see people in suits. We usually wear whatever is comfortable for the day’s work. When the monsoon hits, things get a bit messy with the rain and the mud, but we just keep going. We handle all sorts of small tasks throughout the day. It’s hard to describe exactly one thing because every day feels a little different depending on what people need. We don't spend money on fancy flyers or ads. Usually, someone’s cousin or neighbor tells them about us and they just show up at the door. We try to be helpful when we can. Sometimes we close up a bit early if the work is done and the weather is nice. It’s a small operation, just a handful of us making a living. We’ve had the same sign out front for years and it’s faded quite a bit, but people still find us. That’s enough for us, I think. It’s just home and work all mixed into one.
