Optometry & Contact Lens Clinic

We are tucked away on the ground floor of the Om Ganga Apartment, right at Shop Number 03. Being on Santoshi Mata Road means we are close to the HDFC Bank and just across from the Vikas Apartment building. It’s a good location because people can just walk in off the street without having to deal with elevators or stairs. I open up the clinic every morning and the first thing I do is put the kettle on. The space isn't very large, but we’ve made the most of it with our testing equipment and frame displays. I spend a lot of time talking to folks about their eyesight and showing them how to handle contact lenses. It can be tricky at first, but everyone gets the hang of it eventually. The light in the clinic is quite bright because we need to see everything clearly. Sometimes the noise from the traffic on Santoshi Mata Road is a bit much, but you get used to it after a while. Most of our visitors are people who live in the apartments nearby or stop by after doing their banking. We don't have any big mission statements or polished brochures. We just provide a service that the neighborhood needs. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living. The walls are decorated with some basic eye charts and a few posters that have been there for years. It feels like a proper local shop.
