Asha Industries

Our place is Gala No. 29/61 in the Jaihind CHS building, over in the old Sejpal Compound. It’s a bit of a maze back here if you aren't used to the layout of the compound. The building is R-4. Asha Industries has been tucked away in this spot for a long time now. The walls are a bit faded and the stairs are steep, but it's where we do our work every day. It’s a small industrial unit, mostly packed with materials, boxes, and tools. We don't have much room for a proper office, so the desk is basically right in the middle of everything. It gets dusty because of the compound surroundings and the breeze, but we try to keep the important stuff covered up. The light isn't the best in the back corners, so we use some extra lamps to see what we are doing. We mostly just focus on the daily chores and getting the orders ready for pickup. There isn't any fancy signage outside, just a small plate on the door. People who know us know exactly where to go. We listen to the radio while we work to pass the time and keep the mood up. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do for a living. Sometimes the power goes out in the compound and we all just sit outside for a bit until it comes back.
