Old Age Care Centre

The Old Age Care Centre is located in the KMC Building, right on the ground floor. Being on the ground floor is actually pretty helpful since we work with older folks and nobody really wants to deal with stairs or waiting for an elevator that might be acting up. We are in Padmakar Colony in Thakurli, which is a part of Thane that feels a bit more settled than the really hectic parts of the city. The Bank of Maharashtra is right nearby, so that’s usually how we tell people to find us if they get turned around. It’s a simple building and we try to keep things quiet and steady inside. Thakurli can get a bit noisy with the local traffic and the general neighborhood sounds, but once you’re in the colony, it calms down a little. We spend a lot of time just managing the day-to-day stuff that comes with running a care center. There isn't a lot of fluff here; it’s just rooms, some common areas, and the staff trying to keep things organized. We see the same faces every day, and you get to know the rhythms of the street outside. The 421201 area has been our base for a while now. It’s just a regular place in a regular neighborhood, nothing more and nothing less. We just keep the lights on and do what we're supposed to do for the residents.
