Nirvann Life Foundation

Our place, Nirvann Life Foundation, is located in the Palava Phase II area, specifically Lakeside H 1204 in Sector 3 of Khoni, Dombivli East. It’s a newer part of town and there are always people moving in and out. We moved here because we wanted to be part of this growing community. It’s a bit different from the older parts of Thane, but people still have the same kinds of needs. We work out of the apartment mostly. It’s comfortable and it keeps our costs down so we can focus on what we’re actually doing. We don’t have a lot of formal meetings. Usually, we just sit around the kitchen table and talk about what needs to happen. Some days we are helping people settle in, other days we are working on local projects. It gets busy on the weekends when everyone is home. We aren't experts in social work or anything, we just care about how our neighbors are doing. Living in a big complex like Palava can sometimes feel a bit lonely, so we try to bridge that gap. We’re just regular residents who decided to start something useful. There’s no big corporate board or anything like that. Just us. If you’re ever walking near the lake in Phase II, you’re not far from where we are in Lakeside H. We aren't hard to find and the door is usually open if we are around.
