Neevjivan Foundation

Our office is located in Building 52 of the Seawood II complex, specifically in flat 1302. We’re up quite high on the thirteenth floor, so we get a decent breeze in the afternoons when it’s hot. This part of Nerul, around Sector 54 and 58, is where we spend all our working hours for Neevjivan Foundation. It’s a bit of a trek to get up here, but once you’re in, it’s a solid place to work. We have a few desks set up and some old shelves for all our folders and supplies. We aren't a big organization with hundreds of staff members. It’s just a handful of us who really care about the work we do. We talk a lot about what needs to happen next and how to handle the daily tasks that come in. It’s not always organized perfectly, and sometimes there are stacks of paper everywhere, but we manage to get things done eventually. The building is quite large and there are lots of other families around, so it feels like being part of a big community. We started this thing because there were problems we noticed in the neighborhood. Now, we just take it one day at a time from this apartment. Sometimes we work through the weekend if there’s a big project, but mostly we stick to a regular schedule. It’s a simple life here in Navi Mumbai, just doing our bit and keeping the foundation running as best as we can without any fuss or fancy corporate talk.
