This office is located in Room No 5 of Rajkishore Chawl. It’s in Gokuldas Wadi, over in the Khopat area of Thane West. It’s a very traditional kind of place. The chawl has a lot of history and a lot of people living and working close together. We like it here because it’s central. You can get to most parts of Thane pretty quickly from Khopat. Our space is small, just one room really. We have a couple of desks shoved in there and a lot of folders. Nahar Construction Pvt. Ltd has been operating from this spot for a long time. It’s where we do all our planning. Outside the door, you can hear the kids playing or people talking in the lane. It’s a lively atmosphere. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when we have a few foremen in at the same time to discuss the weekly schedule. We don’t have fancy air conditioning, just a good ceiling fan that does the trick. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't found the time. We are usually too busy worrying about the sites. We handle various building jobs around the city. People know where to find us if they need something fixed or built. It’s a straightforward operation here. Nothing too complicated. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay organized with all the papers. It works for us. Some days are quieter than others, but we like the pace.
