Murlidhar Dry Fruits

Our shop, Murlidhar Dry Fruits, is found at Shop No 23 in Dattani Park. This is in the Manik Colony area of Kandivali East, right on the Pimpri Chinchwad Link Road. It is a regular neighborhood shop. We have sacks of nuts and dried fruits sitting on the floor and more jars on the shelves behind the counter. The air always smells a bit like walnuts and raisins. We spend a lot of time weighing out portions for people and tying up the plastic bags with those little colored strings. The Link Road is extremely busy, so there is always dust flying around. We have to keep the front glass shut most of the time to keep the items clean. Dattani Park is a residential area, so we see a lot of families and elderly people out for their evening walks. We know many of them by name after all these years. The shop isn't very modern. We still use an old metal scale for some things. We don't have a big staff, just us and the occasional help when a big shipment arrives. It is a lot of heavy lifting when the new sacks come in. We just keep our heads down and do the work day after day. It is a steady way to make a living in Kandivali.
