We are based out of Kalyan, over in the Husami Building. Our office is Room 101 on the first floor, which is part of the Amakin Mohammediyah Phase 3 complex. We are right by Tata Power road and the Vikas Naka junction. It is a decent spot for us because we are not trapped in the heavy Mumbai city traffic every day, though Kalyan has its own share of big traffic jams. We handle trade and export-import tasks from this office. It is a small group of us working here together. Most of our morning is spent checking on the status of various shipments and making sure the documentation for the customs office is correct. It is a lot of detail work that can get a bit boring sometimes, but it is necessary for the business to function. We do not have a big corporate setup. The office just has a few computers, some comfortable chairs, and a lot of tea gets made throughout the afternoon. We deal with all kinds of clients, some who are local and some who are located much further away. It is always interesting to see what people are buying and selling these days. We started this LLP to have our own thing and work on our own terms. It has been a big learning process with all the new rules that keep coming out from the government. We just take it day by day and try to keep things moving.
