We are based in Nerul, over in Sector 20. Mim Fashion Import and Export is run out of a flat in the D-12 and D-13 block. It is a quiet residential area, which is nice because it is not as chaotic as the main market. We deal with clothes and fashion items, moving them in and out of the country. Being in Thane gives us a good base to reach the ports and the city. The office is full of samples and fabric swatches most of the time. We aren't a big factory or anything, just a focused team handling the trade side of things. We started this because we had a good connection with some suppliers and thought we could make a go of it. It is a lot of checking quality and making sure the styles are what people want. Sometimes we stay late when we have a big shipment coming in from overseas. Nerul is a good spot for us, and the neighborhood is pretty friendly. We don't have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just look at the clothes, check the invoices, and ship them out. It is a straightforward business. Most of the people working here live nearby, so it feels like a local family thing. We try to keep things simple and just do the work that needs doing. There are plenty of tea stalls nearby where we take our breaks and chat about the day's tasks.
