Milan General Stores

Milan General Stores has been sitting in Shop No 21 of Sai Nath Housing Society for a good while now. We are over in Kandivali East on J P Road, specifically Phase I near the 3rd cross. If you know where the Lalit Hotel is, we are just a short walk from there. Our shop is like any other general store you’d find in a busy housing society. We have shelves packed with everything from soap to snacks, and sometimes it feels like there isn't enough room for us and the customers at the same time. The morning rush is always the busiest when everyone needs something for breakfast or forgot to buy milk. We know most of the people living in Sai Nath Housing because they’ve been coming to us for years. It’s a lot of lifting boxes and stocking shelves, and our hands are usually a bit dusty by the end of the shift. We don't have a website or any fancy systems, just a simple counter and a notebook to keep track of things. Sometimes the delivery trucks are late or we run out of something popular, but that’s just how running a store goes. It’s a simple life, being a part of the Kandivali neighborhood. We see the kids grow up and the seasons change from our front door. It’s honest work and we are happy to be the place where people grab their daily essentials without any fuss or trouble at all.
