Microfit

Wagle Industrial Estate has its own character, especially on Cross Lane R-2 where we are located. Microfit at Plot No. A-380 is a practical space with high ceilings and a concrete floor that’s seen plenty of wear and tear. It’s not the easiest place to keep clean because of all the metalwork and the dust that blows in from the road. We have a heavy rolling shutter that stays open most of the day to let in some air. The sound of tools and the occasional truck backing in is what you’ll hear if you walk by. It’s a hands-on environment here. The workers wear heavy boots and usually have grease on their hands by mid-morning. We have a small office area partitioned off, but it’s just as basic as the rest of the place—a couple of old wooden desks and a calendar from three years ago still hanging on the wall. Rain is the biggest challenge because it makes the loading area slippery, but we just throw some sawdust down and keep moving. There isn’t a lot of polish to the way we do things. We just look at the orders, get the parts ready, and make sure they go out on time. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. The tea break at 4 PM is the highlight of the afternoon for everyone.
