We are based out in Kalyan West in a neighborhood called Gholap Nagar. The office is in B 18, over on Murbad Road. Dinesh Amrut Khairnar and the rest of us handle the Menlo Logistics Pvt. Ltd tasks from this location. Kalyan is a long way from the main Mumbai city, but it is a busy hub in its own right. The building is a typical suburban structure, nothing too modern or sleek. We have some shelves for files and a few computers that have been running for a long time. Murbad Road can get incredibly noisy with all the trucks and buses going past, especially during the rush hour. We usually keep the windows shut to drown out the traffic sound. There isn’t much in the way of decor here, just the stuff we need to get the work done. The commute for some of us involves the local train, which is always an adventure. We have a small corner where we keep the kettle for tea. The vibe is very informal; we talk about our families and the local news while we sort through the daily logs. It’s a hard-working atmosphere but without any of the corporate pressure you find in the city. We just focus on our patch of the logistics world here in Thane district. It’s a simple, honest way to spend the workday, tucked away in a quiet corner of Gholap Nagar.
