Mecwell Pharma Machinery Co. is located at Unit No 30 in the Lucy Industrial Estate. We’re near Blue Chip and right opposite where the Professional Courier office is, in the Sativali area of Waliv Phata, Vasai East. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here if you’re coming from the main city, but this is where all the manufacturing happens. Our unit is a workshop where we put together machinery used in the pharma industry. There are tools everywhere—wrenches, welding gear, and parts of machines waiting to be assembled. It’s a noisy place with the sounds of metal hitting metal and the hum of the fans. We’re not a big corporate setup; we’re more of a hands-on crew. Most of us have greasy hands by the end of the day. The estate itself is always busy with workers and delivery vans. We have a small office space tucked in the corner for the computer and the phone, but most of our time is spent on the shop floor. We build things to last, using simple methods that we know work. The weather in Vasai can be really humid, so we keep the big doors open to let the air circulate. It’s hard work and the days can be long, but it feels good when a finished machine is loaded onto a truck for delivery. We’ve been in this spot at Lucy Industrial Estate for some time now and we’re part of the local industrial community here.
