Mayur Bag Electronices

The buses at the S.T. Depot across the road never seem to stop. From early morning until late at night, there is the sound of engines idling and brakes squealing. We are right here on Station Road in Vasai West, where the foot traffic is heavy. My shop, Mayur Bag Electronices, is a bit of a mix. We have school bags, travel suitcases, and some electronics like chargers and torches. It gets crowded inside because we try to keep a lot of stock. When it rains, we have to hurry to put out the plastic covers so the bags don't get soaked. I’ve been working here for years and I know most of the other shop owners on this stretch. We share tea and complain about the heat. The shop isn't fancy. The floor is a bit worn out and the shelves are made of old wood, but they hold everything up just fine. Sometimes people just stop in to ask for directions to the station. I don't mind. It’s a busy life but it keeps me occupied. I use a simple paper notebook to keep track of what we sell. Sometimes I make a mistake and have to cross it out. It’s just how it goes when you’re busy. The evening is the most hectic part of the day when everyone is heading home. We stay open late because that's when people realize they need a new bag or a cable.
