Maxlux

Maxlux is out in Vasai East, specifically at Unit No 3 in the Param Ind Estate at Naik Pada. If you know the Waliv area, you know it’s grown a lot with different small industries setting up shop. Our unit is a pretty straightforward space. It’s not very large, but it’s enough for us to manage the work we do. We have a main area where the items are kept and a small corner with a couple of desks for the administrative stuff. The road to Naik Pada can be a bit bumpy, and it takes a while to get here from the main station, but it’s a decent place to work. We start the day by opening up the shutters and checking what needs to go out. There’s a lot of lifting and moving things around, so the place doesn't stay tidy for very long. We aren't big on corporate rules or having everything look perfect. The walls are just plain brick or concrete, and we have our tools and boxes stacked where they are easy to reach. Most of the time, it’s just the sound of the fans and the occasional truck passing by outside. We have a small kettle for making tea in the afternoons, which is when we usually go through the orders for the next day. It’s a practical environment where everyone knows their job and just gets on with it.
