You can find us at Pacifica C-204 in the Casa Rio complex. We are located right on the Kalyan Shil Road in Kalyan, which is part of the Thane district. It’s a pretty well-known area and the Casa Rio buildings are easy to spot from the road. The Maithil And Purvanchal Foundation is basically a community group for people from those regions who are now living here in Maharashtra. Moving to a new place can be tough, even if it was years ago, so we wanted a place where people could connect. The apartment we use for our meetings is just a regular home setup. We don't have a reception desk or a sign out front. It’s more about the people than the place. We talk about home, share some food, and help each other out with local problems like paperwork or finding a good doctor. Kalyan Shil Road gets a lot of traffic, so getting here can take a while if you come at the wrong time. But once you’re inside the complex, it’s a bit quieter. We aren't trying to be a big professional organization. We are just a foundation for our people. It’s simple and honest. We don't have a lot of rules. We just show up and do what needs to be done for the community. It’s been working out okay for us so far and we hope to keep it going for as long as people need us.
