We have been out here in Musarne village for a bit now. The yard gets pretty dusty when the trucks roll in off the Bhiwandi-Wada road. Most days start early before the sun gets too hot because handling steel isn't easy work in the humidity. We just get on with it. There’s a lot of metal sitting around and we try to keep things organized but it's a busy spot. People from around Thane know where we are. It’s not fancy. Just a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the orders are ready for the morning haul. Sometimes the rain makes the ground messy but that’s just how it is here. We mostly deal with local builders and guys who need stuff for their projects. You can hear the machines running from a distance. It's a loud place. My desk is usually covered in papers and some grit from the yard. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just supplying what’s needed. The road outside is always packed with traffic which makes deliveries a bit of a headache sometimes. We drink a lot of tea to stay going. That's pretty much the life here at Maharashtra Steel Corporation. It’s just work and steel. We don't have a big corporate office or anything. It's just a warehouse and some storage space. If you need something, you just come by and we'll see if we have it in stock. That's how it goes most days.
