Mahansha Foundation

Mahansha Foundation operates out of a small space in Krantinagar Chawl. We are on Ayre Road in Dombivli, which is part of the Thane district. If you know this area, you know how crowded and lively it gets. There are people everywhere and the trains are always running nearby. Our place is at KRN/A/144. It is not a big office building, just a spot in the chawl where we can gather. We are local residents who decided to put this foundation together. The noise of the street is always in the background, but we are used to it by now. We spend our days dealing with whatever comes our way. Sometimes it’s paperwork, and other times it’s just talking to the people who live nearby. Dombivli has a specific feel to it, very middle-class and busy. We fit right in. We don't have a PR team or a big marketing budget. We just use what we have. Most of the time, we are just sitting around the small table in our room, trying to figure out the next steps for our projects. It’s a bit cramped, but it keeps us close to the community. People drop in without an appointment all the time. That’s just how things work in Krantinagar. We wouldn't want to be anywhere else because this is where the real work happens.
