Luna Story Foundation

Our foundation, Luna Story, is based in Vasai West. We are in the Rajhans Kshitij building, specifically in apartment D/204. It is on Bhabola Road in the Manickpur area, near Chulna. Vasai is a bit different from the rest of Thane; it feels a little more relaxed. Our office reflects that. We have some bean bags and a big wooden table where we do most of our work. We are not really into the whole cubicle and desk thing. We focus on community stories and helping people find ways to improve their lives. It is a lot of talking and listening. We spend a lot of time out in the neighborhood, so the office is often empty in the afternoons. When we are here, we usually have some music playing softly in the background. We do not have a professional setup with a secretary or a lobby. If you come by, you will probably find one of us making coffee or looking over some notes. We like the light that comes into this room in the mornings. It is a peaceful place to work. We do not have big plans to become some massive organization. We just want to keep doing what we are doing right here in Vasai. It is a good community and we have made some good friends since we started. We just take it day by day and see what needs to be done.
