Arpan Enterprises

Our shop is number 103 inside Lakcity Mall, right near the Stand Back of India. It is a bit different working in a mall compared to a street shop because we don't have to worry about the rain or the dust as much. However, we do have to deal with the constant mall music and the crowds of people walking past our window all day. We are located in a convenient spot near the bank, so we get a lot of people who are just running errands and decide to pop in. The space is not very large, so we have to be very careful about how we stack our items. We spend a lot of time rearranging the shelves to make sure everything fits. It is mostly just a few of us here, and we spend the day chatting with the neighbors from the other shops. The lighting is bright and artificial, which is just part of the mall atmosphere. We have a small counter where we handle all the transactions and help people find what they are looking for. Sometimes it gets really quiet on weekday mornings, and then suddenly it gets packed on the weekends when families are out. We don't have a back room, so any extra stock has to be tucked away under the counters or high up on the top shelves. It is a simple retail life, keeping things tidy and waiting for the next customer to walk through the door.
